Fashion Fridays: Maxi Skirts

Hello all you lovely people! :) I'm back with another Fashion Fridays post!! This weeks topic: 'maxi skirts'.

I love maxi skirts! They're great for a casual or a dressier look. Here are some ways you can wear them!

This outfit is filled with different staple pieces! A striped top, black maxi, a floppy hat, a scarf, black  flats...  It's very simple but chic!

Printed maxi skirts are great, but make sure you pair it with a solid colored top. It you want to try mixing different prints together, do it with accessories, like in this outfit :)

This outfit is just too cute! I love the navy and coral color combination!

Great earthy tones in this one. Simply casual!

Vintage inspired... ahh!!! I'm in love with this one! The skirt is really unique and the collared top is totally cute :)

Wow! I haven't watched TV in forever... but if I had to choose, I'd say 'Sesame Street'. Don't judge me.

2) Do you have a weird talent?
Yes. I can lick my elbow. It's supposed to be physically impossible, but me and another girl I know can both do it... so... I guess we're ninjas or something...

4) What's the first thing you do when you wake up?
I open my eyes.

5) What's the first thing you notice when you meet someone new?
For guys and girls I notice the eyes first. Especially for guys. Especially for especially good looking guys. Especially for especially good looking guys with blue eyes. Especially... I'm gonna stop now.

6) What's the last movie you saw and what was it about?
The last movie I saw was the first half of 'Tangled'. I was at my friend's house and I had to leave halfway through the movie :( As far as what it's about, pretty much everybody already knows what 'Tangled' is about so I'm not going to go into detail :P

7) What's your family like?
Umm... that's a tricky question to answer. I'm just gonna say we're unique! :P

8) What's your biggest goal in life right now?
Well, presently I have 2 goals. 1) To get to Heaven. 2) To graduate from highschool with good marks, then go to college and get a degree in photography and digital imaging, then own my own photography business and travel to Ireland and take pictures of everything (and I mean EVERYTHING) there!

9) Do you know what a 'southpaw' is?
Nope.

10) Can you do the 'live long and prosper' sign?
Yupperz!

11) Do you like or hate giving speeches?
I don't know. I've never given a speech before. But, I can tell you that I don't like being the center of attention, so I probably wouldn't like giving speeches.

The Last Sunday Riddle + Prom Accessories!

Soo... on a side note; my mom, my little sister, and I all went shopping for shoes and accessories for the prom yesterday. So, I thought I'd show y'all what I got! I went with a blue and silver/rhinestone theme for my outfit.

New Name, Layout, Template...

So, as you've probably noticed, I completely changed my blog template and name :) I was getting bored with the layout that I had before so I decided to change it to something totally new! What do y'all think?


In other news, I'm thinking about making videos on here! (Emphasis on 'thinking' haha :P) I think it'd be something cool and different. I'd do vlog type videos as well as tags and maybe a few song covers as well :) Just an idea...

Fashion Fridays: How To Wear Leggings

Hello lovelies! I've decided to start something called 'Fashion Fridays' wear I show different ways to dress modestly. Today I am going to discuss a topic that I've wanted to discuss for a while now. And that topic is: leggings.

First of all, lets get one thing straight... LEGGINGS ARE NOT PANTS!!! If they were pants they would be called pants! Secondly, I am not angry, haha :P I'm just stating a fact.

Now, let me show you some ways to wear leggings... you know... the right way! (aka: modestly!)

Shirt-dresses are really cool! But, they're usually too short to wear as a dress.
My quick fix: add some leggings! Pair with some boots and maybe even a cardigan!

Another way to wear leggings is with that dress that you love but shrunk in dryer... I love this look!
You can pair it with either boots or flats and a jean jacket!

I know what you're thinking: "You paired leggings with a t-shirt??" Yeah... But, see that cardigan? See how long it is? Take a belt and wear it over the cardigan so it doesn't slip and slide, then pair it with knee high boots and voila!

So, there are ways to wear leggings and still look cute!(and modest) I know the warm weather is starting to roll around and some of these outfits aren't exactly 'summer' appropriate, but you can always adjust it to the temperature.

I finally dyed my hair ombre... and I love it :) I cut about 2 inches off as well. Here are some before/during/after pics :)

It's quite subtle which I like, but it's very orange... I think I might dye over it with some really light brown or dark blonde hair dye. What are your thoughts??

IT'S HERE!!!!!

THE DRESS HAS ARRIVED! I REPEAT, THE DRESS HAS ARRIVED!!! AHHHH!!!! XD

Haha :P Okay, okay... so I'm overreacting a bit... But it's soo beautiful! It's a little big so I didn't get pictures of it on me yet, but I will post pictures of it on me once I get it altered.

So this is it! The camera doesn't do it justice at all. It's a royal blue with a tiny hint of purple in it which I love!


On a side note, I think I might be ombre-ing my hair this weekend :) L'Oreal has an ombre hair dye kit so I'm just going to do it myself (maybe... haha). I'll let you know if I do it or not :)

A Poem?

Hey peoples!! I'm really bored at the moment... so I thought I'd write a poem. Yup, I write poems when I'm bored... who doesn't write poems when they're bored?? I'm a nerd so I write poems when I'm bored. (I actually hate reading so I don't even know how calling myself a nerd makes any sense at all but oh well... let's just roll with it :P) Yeah... I'm going to write my poem now... here I go!

It's 11:34 and I'm lying in bed,
wide awake when I should be sleeping instead.
Tossing and turning I whisper to myself;
'there's no hope!' as I glance at the shelf.

11:36 now and tired I may be,
but as for my mind, it will not sleep.
I think of everything that happened today,
and I think of the future, and what's coming my way.

My eyes are heavy at 11:38,
and I tell myself 'it's getting really late'.
As I lie down my weary head,
I flip and flop in my small bed.

11:40 had come and past,
for I was asleep at last.
It was the last I had seen of the time,
Until I awoke at quarter to nine.

I feel like this is what almost every teen goes through at night, haha! :P
Just a quick poem I came up with on the spot. And in case you're wondering, it is 9:15 p.m at this present moment. Anyways, there's my complete and utter randomness of the day.

Oh! I almost forgot! It was Chelsea's birthday yesterday, but she had her little party today! :D It was a lot of fun! Anyway, here's a picture of her today! We were at a dairy-bar and they had HUGE chairs there!

Check Out This Song + The Prom Dress I Picked ;D

So, I was looking for some good new music on youtube the other day, and after skipping through a bunch of terribly impure songs, I somehow managed to stumble upon this amazing song by Britt Nicole called 'Gold'. It's my new favorite song and I have a feeling it's going to be my summer jam! It's a really inspirational, uplifting song about how everybody is beautiful in their own way. I loved it so much I thought I'd share it with y'all :)

Now, for my prom dress!! (you know you wanna see it, hehe:P) So, I was looking and looking for prom dresses, but all I could find within my budget range (including shipping) were really low cut, strapless, immodest dresses. Until I found this website: http://www.idreamprom.com/... I ordered the most elegant, Grecian princess inspired (I've been loving that style), MODEST (YAY!!) dress at a great price in a beautiful color!! Here's a picture of it, but I got it in royal blue.

I'm gonna bling it up with some sparkly jewelry and shoes to make it more prom appropriate, haha :P

I'm super excited now!! I'll put pictures up with the dress on when I get it in. It won't be until late May though. The prom is only on June 22nd so I gots lots-o-time to get it altered and stuff :)
